Course Description

The purpose of this course is to familiarize the students with the fundamentals of AutoCAD as a productive design and drafting tool. The course will be divided into lectures and hands-on laboratory exercises. Students are encouraged to develop specific design methodologies for their individual design and drafting requirements. Major topics include element creation and manipulation, fence and group manipulation, text placement and editing, patterning, level management and control, cell creation and use of cells in production, plotting and screen tutorials.

• AutoCAD Manager Reference file Manipulations
• Design File Creation and Concepts Main Palette Layout
• Element Placement and Manipulation Point Construction
• Fences and Fence Manipulation Text Placement and Editing
• Associative Dimensioning Patterning - Area and Linear
• Enter Data Fields Level Structures and Menus
• Cell Creation Plotting Configurations
• Normal Cells and Point Cells Absolute and Relative Placement
• Cell Manipulation Active Points

Each attendee is assigned a Dual Monitor workstation with the latest version of AutoCAD. Class size is limited to Six students. Training manuals are included and a personalized training Certificate is issued at the completion of the class. Larger classes sizes, training at other locations, and customized course material is available under a separate price quotation.
