My paintings and works on paper use fabric as a visual clue attempting to create a dialogue. Fabrics contain, woven in them, many mysteries, along with social and cultural information. I have been collecting and using old embroidered linens, the type that were included, for many years, from a different time and space, in a woman's "hope chest."
My work attempts the surprising and discovery of specialness, one would have ....... going through a hope chest.
