The Snake Handling Immortal Tongue Speakers

The Meaning of Snake Handling Immortal Tongue Speakers:
We came up for the name of the band as a reverse acronym that was descriptive when interpreted from either direction. Playing extemporaneous music is like being a conduit for The Great Spirit. Let it flow!

Dear Snake Handling Immortal Tongue Speakers,

First of all, what type of snakes do u handle? And, when you do... is it ordained of God??? Have you even read Mark, Chapter 16 in the King James version of the Holy Bible?

We do not believe in handling non-poisonous snakes. We believe in handling... rattlesnakes, copperheads, cottonmouths, cainbreakers, etc... and believe you me, they are not defanged, or milked.

At our church, when "the signs are carried out", it is when The Holy Spirit moves on someone. A person can bring the meanest , worst snake they can find... and when the power of God starts moving, and a true man/or woman of God gets moved on to take up the serpent , the snake will be in what you might call a dead state... because, God has power over the serpent!

We do not do it as a freak show, or etc. as some might think. It is real! God's power is real. And as for Tongue Talkin' -- when u get baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, you will speak in tongues. And, it is awesome.

Thank you,
A Fan

Dear Fan,

What you said about the snakes and the speaking of tongues is exactly what I've been trying to explain to people... so, thanks.

Though you say it literally, we've been trying to say it figuratively. We are a group of people... who make music. We have no professional experience.

When we play, we pick up an instrument, or two... even the meanest, worst guitar (snake)... and play whatever moves us.

When we sing, we vocalize on-the-spot. Though the tongue is often a familiar one... it is a foreigner's tongue, nonetheless.

If we are lucky, we get to see... the souls that surrounded us... and the power of The Energy.

If you are interested in pursuing this matter, please feel free to write back.

Sincerely,
C. Moore
