Alternative Health and Fitness® CORE BASICS PROGRAM
Registration Form -- Spring 2003

Our Core Basics Program is Pure & Simple. It is a program for Beginners who are interested in learning the basics of Pilates, Yoga and Body Rolling. We suggest registration for the full 15 weeks for best results and to ensure your space in the class of your interest.

STARTING DATES FOR WINTER CORE BASICS CLASSES APRIL 21ST, MAY 27TH & JUNE 30TH
COURSES ARE FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN SPENDING A SPECIFIC TIME TAKING CLASSES.
BEGINNERS ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR OUR CORE BASIC CLASSES BEFORE TAKING OTHER CLASSES ON THE SCHEDULE.

SATURDAY WORKSHOPS - 90 MINUTES

Intro to Body Rolling (WORKSHOP) (90 minutes)
*Purchase of Body Rolling Balls required first day of class.

Intro to Pilates Mat & Towel (Workshop) 90 Minutes

Saturday 1:30 - 3:00, starting
April 12th   April 26th   May 10th
May 24th   June 7th   June 28th

This class will introduce the basic Pilates
mat work using towel and/or magic circle for
resistance. A great intro if you are considering
attending weekly classes or just wanting to learn
the basics of mat work. $25.
Intro to Pilates Equipment (Workshop) 90 Minutes

Saturday 1:30 - 3:00, starting
April 12th   April 26th   May 10th
May 24th   June 7th   June 28th

This workshop will introduce how to use the
Reformer, Cadillac, Barrel and Pedi-pull so
that you can begin taking weekly classes. $40.

Intro to Yoga
This class is a basic yoga class for the total beginner. It is a course class and cycles every 5 weeks. Most beginners take this class for at least 15 weeks before moving on to Flow Yoga.

Flow Yoga Basics (75 minute class) (2x’s per week)

Flow Yoga Basics
For the active beginner or for those interested in learning vinyasa style yoga. Builds strength, flexibility and increases endurance Yoga.

Pilates Basic Mat
While Pilates Mat focuses on building stronger core awareness and strength, the 30 + forms strengthen and stretch the entire body - leaving you feeling balanced and energized. Breath awareness, posture and body alignment are a focus of this 60 minute class.

Pilates Basic Equipment
This class offers work on the Pilates Reformer, Cadillac and Barrel.   Class elements include, posture and body alignment and  core strengthening exercises.  This closed kinetic chain-non impact exercise class  improves body awareness, coordination and total body control. From basic to intermediate there are over 100 exercises to choose from. 60 minutes

Pilates Barrel/Mat (55 minute class) (2x’s per week)

This class is for those interested in learning how to use the Pilates Spine Corrector Barrel. The class includes work on the spine corrector and mat work using a towel or magic circle for resistance.
